Fueled by a deep passion for the Lord, he devotedly dedicated his life to a distinctive counseling ministry. In January 2019, through prayerful consideration, he officially launched Rise Up Christian Counseling. Serving as the Senior Pastoral Counselor, John plays a pivotal role, in offering teaching, leadership, and guidance to the entire ministry. In January 2022, the ministry added Rise Up Ministries Mississippi to reach people on all levels not just counseling. April 2023, Rise Up Ministries Mississippi was able to secure a home by a generous donation of use of facilities and we pray that we continue to grow and make an impact in the community. 

With over a decade of experience in the counseling field, John is recognized for his innovative communication approach. His unique talent lies in bringing the Bible to life through vivid illustrations infused with humor and practical life applications. John's down-to-earth style, relevance, genuine love for others, and fervor for facilitating their growing relationship with God resonate with individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
