God is good no matter how hard the goodbye is!

"Pastor says he lost faith after his father's tragic death, says pain 'blinds' believers..."

This was the first news article I came across this morning. I understand the hurt that this pastor is going through and I pray that God directs the steps of this pastor! We know that Jesus wept and we know Jesus hurt too. We know that every person in the Bible experienced death and loss! We need to examine our understanding and relationship with God of who He is and what His Word says! We need to really examine our hearts and the calling in our life. A leader in the church is human with the human condition of sin but through Christ and the Holy Spirit, we should be led through trials that only increase our faith and not be blinded by the trials. This shows me that faith is conditioned on circumstances when faith is all we have no matter the circumstance! God is good in life and in death. Lack of faith equates to a lack of knowing who God really is and shows how much a person really trusts God during the trials and tribulations!

I'm not saying life is easy or it will be a breeze in the park...I'm saying that God is good no matter how hard the goodbye is!

And the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy. But these have no root; they believe for a while, and in time of testing fall away. LUKE 8:13

I challenge you to read Hebrews 11:1-40 today and pray to God to examine all areas of the heart including faith because only you and God know the answer to your faith and trust in Him.
