In recovery, one of the hardest truths to accept is that we are powerless. Powerless over addiction. Powerless over people. Powerless over the past.

But here’s the good news: Powerlessness is not hopelessness.
It’s actually where true recovery begins.

Jesus said, “Apart from Me, you can do nothing” (John 15:5). That’s not a statement of shame—it’s an invitation to dependence. When we come to the end of ourselves, we find the beginning of God’s strength.

Powerlessness doesn’t mean we quit.
It means we surrender, not to the addiction, but to the Savior who has power over it.

So if you feel weak today, don’t run from that feeling. Let it drive you to the One who is strong.
You don’t have to fix yourself. You just have to admit the truth and let Jesus do what only He can—heal, restore, and lead you one step at a time.

Today’s Prayer:
“Lord, I can’t do this on my own. I admit my weakness and surrender control. Be my strength where I have none. Help me walk in Your power, not mine.”

You’re not stuck, you’re just being invited to let go. And that’s where freedom begins.
